MLM Science - An Oxymoron
[Picture]
An "oxymoron" is "a phrase combining two contradictory terms." And there is no better example of such a phrase than "MLM Science".
[Picture]
Legitimate MLM companies with real products based on genuine science can back up their product line with independent clinical trials and studies and detailed scientific research.
MLM companies marketing bogus products sell their products using an endless supply of testimonials and little else.
[Picture]
Any scientific background on their products is presented by dubious doctors and scientists using an abundance of New Age lingo and technobabble meant to impress and confuse the layman. Often times a naturopathic, homeopathic or chiropractic doctor will be brought in to explain quantum physics, nanotechnology, or holography, a field of science in which they have no education or training.
[Picture]
These same people will often introduce one-of-a-kind machines with high tech sounding names that "prove" their products works as claimed. This non-standard equipment is not recognized or accepted by any credentialed organization and has never seen the inside of a legitimate scientific laboratory.
[Picture]
Some MLMs such as Lifewave and 8ight.com use "muscle testing" (known as "Kinesiology") to "prove" the various claims they make about their nanotechnology patches and "holographic data disks".
[Picture]
Another popular demonstration currently being used by Eniva is a red blood cell test that supposedly shows how Vibe "supports red blood cell health".

This very same demonstration is used by 8ight.com to show that when using their holographic data disks "Zeta potential is resorted to the red blood cells".

Exciting results show that the Zeta potential is resorted to the red blood cells and this is magnified when water is used in conjunction with our holographic disc.
[Picture]

[Picture] * Zeta potential restores the negative potential to the red blood cells which means the red blood cells separate and do not group together.
[Picture]
[Picture] * When signaling the separation of the red blood cells nutrient intake increases, oxygen intake increases, hydration increases, and the cells metabolic waste is more easily removed. These combination of affects result in increasing the metabolism in the red blood cells. This is easily viewed in the Richardson microscope as an increased vibration rate inside the red blood cells.

Demand REAL Science
[Picture]
The red blood cell videos being used by both Eniva and 8ight.com look and sound impressive - but they are frauds. Here is what a REAL scientist has to say about this phenomenon:

Live-blood Analysis
by Norman Allan
[Picture]
"...almost everyone puts undue emphasis on the fact that red cells clump together in coin-like stacks (or rouleaux formation) and treat this as pathological. In fact RBCs clump together in rouleaux stacks wherever space allows them to. They do this, actually, to reduce the viscosity of the blood and for the protection that the red cells receive by traveling in these train-like processions. This is a normal function of blood and, furthermore, its extent cannot be easily quantified with live-blood work. (This is because we can not calculate exactly how thick the sample is at any point.) The extent of this clumping, this rouleaux formation can however be easily measured in standard blood work as sedimentation rate, or SED rate. (If rouleaux formation is excessive the blood sediments settle more quickly.) SED rate is a general indicator of inflammation. We generally expect the SED rate to be elevated in inflammatory conditions such as arthritis. But SED rate is a very general and imprecise measure, and medicine pays little attention to it nowdays."

The lesson to be learned here is that no matter who the company is, who the spokespersons are, what the testimonials say, or what the product claims may be, demand to see REAL independent scientific research, documentation, studies, and clinical trials. Exotic machines and unintelligible explanations as to how these MLM potions, patches, and holographic disks work their magic should be discounted in their entirety. MLM products must abide and be judged by the same established and conventional standards used to judge every other product in the marketplace.
[Picture]
Likewise, if a company relies on testimonials, muscle testing and blood cell oxygenation demonstrations to validate their product line, you can be quite certain that you are witnessing a scam in progress.
